Here's what's actually happening: your unconscious mind has learned that visibility is unsafe. Not the sport. Not the physical challenge. The exposure. Being watched. Being judged. What happens if you go all in and fall short in front of people.

It doesn't matter that the threat isn't rational. The unconscious doesn't deal in rational. It deals in protection. And once it decides that full performance equals exposure equals danger, it will quietly, consistently undermine you. Even when every other part of you wants to perform.
